Rachel
Growing up the youngest of eight kids in a family where kindness and humor were key, Rachel’s dream was bringing Nina, Nancy, and NoNo to life. She remembers her dad sitting on the edge of her bed sharing a story that included a lesson he wanted her to learn that day through the three girls. Since siblings can attest to how much Sarah and Rachel didn’t get along as kids, working together on a book when they were older to pay homage to their parents was a dream come true. Being able to share something so meaningful in print was just the icing on the cake.
Rachel has worked in the telecommunications industry for thirty-plus years. She has been married to Mark for decades and found great joy reading many children’s books to their son, Isaac. He has outgrown those books (and his mom reading to him) because of going to college in Portland, OR. Their family enjoys spending time together in the Ozarks, watching and playing sports, traveling, and being entertained by multiple cats.

Sarah
Sarah is the second youngest of eight kids and grew up in a fun and loving family, playing sports and trying to master various musical instruments (unsuccessfully!). She lost her “baby of the family” ranking once her sister Rachel was born five years after her, and although they didn’t get along at all in the early years (many siblings will confirm!), they now share a very strong closeness and friendship. Sarah is thrilled to carry out their lifelong dream of working together on this new venture of children’s books honoring their wonderful father!
During her professional career, Sarah worked in corporate finance until her retirement in 2019. She enjoys anything involving water, mainly swimming, kayaking, and boating. She is a true-crime lover and also enjoys reading mystery and suspense novels. Sarah and her husband Frank enjoy spending summers at the lake in Minnesota, along with spending time with daughter Kenzie and her husband Andrew who live in Portland, OR.
